Hugo William Fahey

Hugo is a geoscience honours graduate, who is currently working as a research assistant under Dr Sara Moron-Polanco helping to collate and process ocean drilling data as part of investigation into the interplay between subsidence, dynamic topography, and long-term sea-level fluctuations. This has involved the collection of paleo-bathymetry and lithology data from ocean drilling reports, publications, and industry, as well as georeferencing, interpreting and the digitization of geochemical, stratigraphic, structural, and tectonic data. This research work is largely focused on the use of pyBacktrack, with this collected data, to calculate the residual subsidence across a global range of passive margin sites.
