Kaitlyn is a Research Assistant for the EarthByte Group under Professor Dietmar Müller and Dr Christian Heine. She is a current undergraduate student at the University of Sydney, studying a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Geology & Geophysics and Environmental Science. Growing up in the Hunter Valley, Kaitlyn has a strong interest in ensuring mining can have environmentally and commercially viable longevity. She is particularly interested in mineral exploration and sustainable mining strategies.
Kaitlyn’s research assistant work is within the GloRiDa project, which aims to synthesise existing rift data into a functional model for both the purpose of mineral exploration and to facilitate further extension in research.
